Friday:
The educational things that D did before school time was watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and play on NickJr.com. P doesn't usually find too many things that are educational fun anymore. Most things are geared for little kids and kids at lower learning levels than he is at. At school time we watched an episode of Animal Atlas and an episode or two of Go, Diego, Go. We then started reading M is for Mitten, the kids were not into listening and behaving at this point. D decided she had enough schooling for the week and just played in her room. So P and I did his school work together. In M is for Mitten C was for cherry and we learned a little about the Cherry Capitol of the World! D was for Detroit. I know most people don't think much of Detroit, but there is great history there. Did you know the Detroit had the very first traffic light I believe it said in the world. Pretty cool stuff. This book is way better than I thought it was going to be. I love learning right along with the kids, I don't remember a whole lot from school. P then got busy with his Easy Peasy work. He did Math 2 Day 15 that practiced greater than and less than. For English 1 Day 137 english he worked on reading comprehension by reading a story and then answering questions about the story. He had to refer back to the story a couple times. The rest of the day consisted of grocery shopping, video games, and TV. Saturday: We got moving pretty early on Saturday. We were going out to my sisters' house to move one of my sisters. When we got there the kids got to go watch their cousin at her gymnastics class. After that P went with one of his grandmas to go see Walking With Dinosaurs at the theater. He said it was a good movie. While P was at the movies D hung out at my sisters' house playing with the Barbies she was given from my niece and then made a fort with my niece. When we got home the kids had some friends come and play outside. When they all got sick of the cold and wind they all came inside and played Mine craft on iPads together. After their friends left P played Skylanders with his dad and D played Jump Start on her computer while I watched. Sunday: The kids and I got up and moving early again on Sunday. We were going with my mother-in-law to the zoo. D has asking to go to the zoo since last fall. We have had a really cold and snowy winter this year so we haven't made it yet. Last year at this time we had already been to the zoo at least two or three times. The kids had a great time looking at all the animals and learning some things that they didn't already know. P was telling us all about some of the animals. Oh, and D's favorite animal is the pink flamingo so she had to wear her flamingo shirt and skirt. Unfortunately we couldn't get close enough for her to show her pretty outfit to her flamingo friends. Last year she liked to do that. We took the wagon for the kids when they got tired, walking for four to five hours is a lot, but of course they wouldn't pull me or grandma. P did pull D for a little while. He will be a big help when I take my good camera next time, hehehe. The rest of the day consisted of Skylanders and Wild Kratts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you have any questions about the blog please go to the All About Me page and contact me.
