Well, I am enjoying a week off. Today is my first full day without kids and husband. My husband went on a business trip yesterday and will be gone until Wednesday. The kids left yesterday with Grandma and Papa to their house for about a week. Just the dog, the cat, and I enjoying some quiet time. Yesterday I spend most of my day watching TV and laying on the couch. It was very relaxing!
Today I cleaned up something around the house and then tried to tackle the kids rooms. P's room was easy to reorganize and go through the things he doesn't really use. D's room on the other hand, I think I will need her to help me sort through things. She has so many toys and makes such a mess, but she actually plays with them all. Her birthday is coming up in a couple months and she has no room for more toys. Since she doesn't sleep in her own bed I am half tempted to put down a board on her short loft bed so she can play up there also. I also have been going through my neglected emails and looking for school materials. I will share any school materials that I have found when I use them. When the kids come back from vacation we are going to be setting aside some time for structured school. We all need some structure in order to not stay lazy. We tend to do structure for a while then fall into laziness quite often. I don't know how this always happens, I guess that is just what we do. I have thought about doing a more structured curriculum or a curriculum that I need to sign in certain times but that just doesn't work for us. We enjoy doing what we want when we want. Freedom to go where we want when we want is one of the greatest things that we like about homeschooling. Tonight I am going to treat myself to a quiet dinner out and then go to my monthly homeschool meeting. I hope you all have a
